If you haven’t registered for eBay, it is very simple to do. This first step is easy to do, and starts by going to the eBay home page at http.//www.ebay.com. At the top of the page there is an icon that says REGISTER. Follow that link and the directions provided and you will soon have your own eBay account. • STEP #2 - Product Niche Ideas and Information: Many people get started on eBay selling products that relate to a hobby, profession or pastime. If you are struggling for ideas regarding a potential product niche, go to the eBay Home Page at http.//www.eBay.com. Next, scroll down and on the left hand side of the page you will find: ‘WANT IT NOW’. Follow that link for an unbelievably long list of items that buyers are seeking. We have used also this to gain extra sales. Many times you will find a match to a product that you have at auction or in your eBay Store. • STEP #3 - Verify that you have Identified a Viable Niche If you want to verify that you have a good, viable product/product niche, go to the eBay Home Page at http.//www.ebay.com. At the top of the page there is a SEARCH box. Simply type in the name of the item and you will be directed to the SEARCH RESULT PAGE. Scroll down the page and on the left hand side CLICK the box that says COMPLETED LISTINGS, and then CLICK the button SHOW ITEMS. This takes you to a list of completed auctions. Examine that list for what did and did not sell. (Green sold and Red did not sell.) To examine any item more closely, just CLICK on that item. Once you have registered for eBay, identified a product niche that will work for you, and verified that the target product(s) sells for an acceptable price, then you are ready to move forward.
