From Beginner to eBay Power Seller – Easy 3 Step Plan Plus Wholesale Sources

Making money on eBay is fairly simple if you can stick to 3 simple steps.

First Step – Signup to sell on eBay

If you are new to eBay you must first register and become a member of the community. Signing up is easy and free. If you plan on selling on eBay you need to take their getting started tutorial. Basically you list a product, pick the type of auction you want, answer potential buyer questions, and then ship the product if it sells. People make eBay selling way to hard. The biggest problem with selling on eBay is handled in the next two steps.

Second Step – Decide what you want to sell on eBay

If you are a beginning seller on eBay don’t take too much time deciding what to sell your first time. Just find a product from around your home that you don’t want and that someone else potentially will. Too many eBay beginners get stuck on this step and take way too much time deciding what to sell their first time. The whole point of this step is to find something to sell and learn the process of listing an item for sale on eBay. Don’t try to find a product that you want to sell over and over. I first sold a few baseball cards and then sold a few information products that I bought on eBay. Make sure you pick something that others will want (not junk) and price it fairly. You want to sell your first item even if you don’t make much from the sale. The whole point is to learn the selling process.

Third Step – Find a reliable wholesale source or drop shipper

This is the most difficult part of selling on eBay. After you sell a few household items you start wondering what else you can sell. The difference between eBay beginners and Power Sellers is the source of product. In order to compete on eBay you will need a steady source of product and very low prices. Most people make the mistake of trying to find a wholesaler on the internet and soon realize that their supplier is just a middleman who has marked the price up from the true wholesaler. You want the wholesaler to supply you with the product not a middle man. The problem is finding true wholesalers. It took me several years to find true wholesalers and a steady stream of suppliers. The other way to go is to find a good drop shipper. Drop shippers supply the product, inventory the product and ship the product. You don’t ever have to buy the product and then hope you sell it. You list product for sale on eBay and if it sells you place an order with the drop ship company and they handle the rest. The advantage to doing business this way is obvious. You don’t have to inventory the product, or ship it. You can try different products out to see what sells on eBay without having to buy the product. Many of the better drop shippers have pre made ads so you just have to copy the ad to eBay and start your auction. This feature will save you hours of labor.

If you want to be a Power Seller on eBay then follow these 3 steps and you will be on your way. I strongly urge you to find a reliable drop shipper or wholesale source and take action. So many eBay beginners over analyze the process, when really the whole process is very simple. Just follow the steps and start making money today.
