If you have already bought some stuff on eBay then you probably already noticed the PowerSeller icon next to some eBay sellers. But what is a PowerSeller exactly, what does it take to become one?

First Know this: Everyone of them needs to make at least $1000 each month to maintain their PowerSeller status. Silver PowerSeller needs to make at least $3000 a month. The list goes on, for the Gold PowerSeller it’s $10 000 and the platinum is $25 000. The highest rank you can achieve as an eBay PowerSeller is Titanium. In order to maintain this status you will need to make $150 000 every month!

If you are interested in starting an eBay business, then the fact that these people exist is very good. You a lot of these people started out just selling stuff on ebay without ever thinking of it as a business. Today most of them a full time eBay seller and have been doing it for years.

The good thing with eBay is that you really don’t need to quit your day job to do it, eBay is a great place to start making a very good second income. You can take orders during the week and send them over the week end at your local post office. The earning potential of eBay is just impressive.

Another good thing about eBay is that you can do it from everywhere, even if you live in the middle of nowhere, eBay doesn’t care. If you can post than you can do it.

It’s as simple as that. If you can mange to get your hands on something reasonably cheaply then you can sell it on eBay. You could get popular items at wholesale prices and make quite good profits selling it with no set-up costs.

Of course if you are starting out buying items at a wholesaler is probably not the good way to start, you could just take a look around your house. You probably have a couple hundreds of dollars worth of stuff lying around. Even if you think no one will by it, there is always someone who wants what you are selling, that’s the power of eBay. And the best part, you don’t even have to look for them they will come to you!
